Chinese? Indonesian? Or neither?
The answer is both, really.
Being a mixed race is interesting. And confusing.
Example 1: Filling out forms is troublesome and time consuming, especially when you need to specify your race. The first question is always “Which one has more advantage should I write this time?”
Example 2: The food stall auntie asked what I wanted to order in Chinese so I answered her in Chinese. She stared at me and, after a short pause, scolded me for my bad pronunciation. Apparently it’s a crime to not be able to speak Chinese if you look like Chinese. Well at least I tried. I’m only half Chinese, after all. So don’t be too hard on me.
Oh well.
A failed attempt to find something cooler than Notepad++
10am: getting bored of Notepad++
10.15am: decided to look for cooler text editors
11am: finished downloading and installing PSPad and Programmer’s Notepad 2.
11.05am: decided to use PSPad
3.30pm: decided to switch to Programmer’s Notepad 2 because PSPad’s search and replace function is lame
4.45pm: decided to switch back to Notepad++
Change management fail.
